I ought to by myself a lotto ticket...

So let me tell you a story...this morning on way to station I was checking for my ticket and couldn't find it anywhere so I went back home, missing the train in the hopes of finding it. I looked everywhere around my room and couldn't find it and then I just got sad because I knew I couldn't afford another ticket. $57 for 1 day of travel, great! So I went back to the station knowing I'd just have to spend my lunch money. As I'm walking I thought about where I lost it, must have been green square, only time after that was when my phone rang on my way home and I quickly took my phone out of the same pocket as my ticket and kept walking. So I walk to that same spot in the miraculous situation I'm hoping for and there sitting in the middle of the sidewalk is my ticket. What the hell!!!!!!!!

Ch ch ch ch ch Changes

Yesterday (I started writing this in September last year) so one day in September... I met up with Lauren and one of the first things she said was I've quit smoking, now I was tempted to laugh at her but I found she was being sincere (not til about 3 hours later when she had a ciggy) but thats not the point, the point is she had been reassessing her life and decided she should do without cigarettes and THIS got me thinking.
What does it take to make a person decide hmm my life needs changes?
How do you decide the most effective part of your life to change?
What do you do when this thing fails or you don't want it to change anymore?
I tried to decide this for myself but found it very difficult, I could give up smoking and that would be very good for my health, I could go back to uni something I don't want to do but I am sure it would be beneficial, I could move back to NZ, something I want to do really badly but I have too many things I enjoy here, I could shave my head, don't particularly want to do that but I am sure it would have an impact on my life, there are so many things I could change, I am certain some things need to be changed but I find it impossible to decide on one.
It begs me to ask the question, what would you change in your life and how much of an impact would that make, would it be worth the effort to change in the first place or would it be so life changing you wondered why you didn't do it earlier?

It may be the end of an era, but the magic only stops if you let it.

Beautiful Buddy.

I love the feeling you get when you discover a new sexy celebrity, your mood for the day is immediately lifted and you know that anything bad that happens during the day won’t be that bad because you can go back to your desk have a gander at the new fella and all will be better.

The recipient of making my Monday awesome is none other than Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin. Yes I know he has been around since 2005 but I lead a very sheltered view of ‘sexy afl players’ mainly that it takes a lot for me to notice anyone who isn’t wearing the swans red & white. However Saturday having breakfast with mum at the local cafe she was reading the daily telegraph and low & behold there in the middle of the page was Lance Franklin. I didn’t even bother asking his name, instead saying to my mum o-m-g he is a little pretty isn’t he, to which she started laughing because unlike her shallow daughter she has known about him since 2005. Then Sunday afternoon watching the hawks hammer the swans you couldn’t help but notice his purtty face.

Basically that is all I have to say on the matter. If you already know who he is then wonderful, if you don’t I am glad to be the one introducing you. Now I am off to go day dream with butterflies in the sky and dance on the clouds. (That’s a pretty normal day dream right?)

And the picture that started it all:

I am about to commence the best weekend ever...

Roll on 5 o'clock as I have some serious fun planned. Saying that I am excited is probably an understatement. This weekend is so full I hope I can take it all in, I start the weekend with dinner at Bondi while trying to catch some skaters warming up for tomorrow. Tomorrow I begin the day with an 8am meeting at Coogee followed by a beach session with the ladies for afl. Then straight to Bondi to watch the bowl-a-rama, I saw it a couple of years ago and I was lucky enough to meet one of my Idols Lance Mountain, and mum got to meet one of hers in Dave Duncan. This year we have Steve Caballero, Pat Ngoho and Bucky Lasek skating. This I can't even find the words to express my happiness haha, Ngoho and Caballero if you haven't heard of them you need to. They are some serious legends in the skateboarding world. And Bucky Lasek, oh em gee, he is as good as Tony Hawk and has been around for about as long, an absolute legend, so many awards to his name to remember, and just simply awesome, I think I may cry if I see him, haha okay probably not but I may as well.

And then after that amazing day I am off to the NAB cup to cheer on the mighty swans on their debut for the season. Wait wait there is more, Sunday sees the Swans Fan Day, a day where swans interact with new and old members, kids go along and have a go at the Big Kick or test out their handpassing skills, they have this great thing where they hold a press conference and kids get to ask the tough questions, its always a great day and a perfect end to my weekend. If that doesn't finish my weekend maybe another episode of Gossip Girl just to put the cherry on top.

I am so excited, this is definitely going to be the best weekend of this year.
I hope everyone else has a good one!

I didn't mean to do it...

I can't take it back...
I feel awful...
How could I do this...
Once started it will never go away...
Why am I enjoying this...
I have to accept it now...
I discovered...Gossip Girl.

Haha, the above is how I think I should be feeling but I can't, I have never had foxtel so I missed it and while all my friends were talking about it I sat and twiddled my thumbs. Then my legen wait for it dairy roomie informed me she had the box set and about an hour later I knew my social life was officially over. It really is the ideal show for a 17-21 year old girl. There is plenty of eye candy and of course all the fashion, and for those that have finished high school its a show to reflect on all the silly things you used to do. I started Monday night and while working everyday last night I completed the first season. Yea I know its bad, quite frequently I am giving my roomies the gift of the random squeal when someone hooks up with someone new. I love it already, I can't wait to watch the rest.

Movie Review: Remember Me

Okay so let me start this off by saying that I actually hate(d) Robert Pattinson, I do not understand the appeal about him, or the whole Twilight BS! Having said that when this movie came out I thought it may be a chance to give him a go as an actor, and last night I finally got around to watching it, the movie begins with a shock and doesn't leave you bored the entire way through. It is a tear jerker, I cried like a baby but that has to mean it was a good movie right? It is a good drama, and nice to see Robert Pattinson not being a gay vampire. I don't want to give away anything but the ending really gets to ya, I can't imagine anybody who wouldn't be affected by this film. All I can say is that Remember Me has a bit of everything, love, sadness, death and it is well worth the watch. Oh and I still don't get the hotness factor, at least he proved he can act.

I Love Fridays

It's the only day of the week where work flies, the only day you can get away with using your rolled up phone charger as a mouse instead of the computer mouse (yes thats you Kate) and you know it's always going to be a good day because it's the weekend in a few hours!

Tip: If you need to perk up your afternoon may I suggest watching the following things....

Dear Katy Perry,

I have a small problem, you see sometimes I feel like a plastic bag, I hear you are good at dealing with these sorts of problems. Could you help fix mine?
Sincerley, Broken Firework. X

I miss the X Factor :(

Sometimes

Things happen in life and you get stressed out over the small things, or even big things where stress and pain is warranted, an elderly lady told me a quote the other day and I think if used to get over the little things our lives will be a little bit easier and carefree. Thank you Ginger Megs.

Just let it ride, dear.

So we made a rap song...

Kate & I had something come over us while we were at work yesterday and it compelled us to make a rap song! Please enjoy 'Smatar' (to the tune of In The Club by Fiddy Cent)......

Go go go go go go go go
Go Smatar it's your birthday,
We're gonna party like it's your birthday,
We will go up from the lobby,
to level 4 and have a party!
You'll find me in the lift,
all covered in blue!
I've got pillows in my inseam,
to make you all comfy!
My parents have a story,
1's an Avatar, the others a smurf,
One day they got in a lift,
and got a little funky!
I'm electric, in a box,
Play with my cords, cause I rox!
If too many people get in in me,
I get a little heavy,
but thats okay press stop,
wait for the beep and we'll have another party!
Go go go go go go go go go go go

Daydream Believer

Last night I had a dream about a Galapagos Giant Tortoise, this is the price you pay for testing your knowledge on Turtles right before you go to bed.

Oh and also I think I am going to change fonts on here for awhile! :)

Naww how sweet...

I just saw this on Twitter:

"Dear whoever is reading this, you're beautiful and someone out there is crazy about you. So smile. Life is too short to be unhappy."

Nawwwwww

Sydney Swans make their Twitter debut

Recently the Sydney Swans began their takeover of everything that is awesome on Twitter. There are only a few AFL clubs on Twitter and only a few of them have the players with their own account. It is a great way for them to keep us fans updated and they have started a twitter fan of the week competition. If they need feedback on a decision they come quick and fast, and they like to retweet some nice replies from other Twerps. I was lucky as that they retweeted my tweet to them of: @sydneyswans are taking over twitter! Loving all the updates and pics! Thank you!  Meaning all their fans got to see my thoughts, and I ended up having more of them follow me. To which I tweeted and I got retweeted by rttf_au: RTTF_AU Santa came early #FF ;) RT It's my lucky day @clubswans @babybloods @rttf_au all following me! Can't wait for 2011! #goswans At this current time Swans are following me (which makes me happier than you wouldn't know) even if it is 1 of 4361 that they are following.

Alright so links time:
@sydneyswans - their official account
@richards_report - Ted Richards
@okeeferyan - Ryan O'Keefe
@JaredCrouch - Jared Crouch
@brett_kirk - Brett Kirk
@rttf_au - Swans Fan
@BabyBloods - Swans Young Guns - Fan keeping unnoficial tabs on the swans stars of tomorrow

Happy Tweeting :)

Yarrrr Me Hearties!

Everybody knows the classic Pirate joke of: Why are Pirates Pirates? Because they Arrrrrr! But the other day Lauren asked me What is a Pirates favourite letter of the alphabet? I was like well it has to be R (pronounced Arrrrr) She promptly replied You may think it is an Arrr But really it is the C (Pron. Seaaaa) I just found this hilarious and felt the need to share it with cyberspace!
