Possible New Fav Song...

Okay I get it, lots of people hate glee, but there are way more people who love it, and I don't know what it is about cheesy lines, high school drama, and the rare hot men all singing gleefully but its just insanely good. Anyway, in the Sectionals episode of season 2 they covered Time of your life and Valerie, at the end of this is Dog Days are over, and this is so quickly becoming my fav song!
Check it out and give it a go before knocking it again! :D

The River Test

So there is this App and it is called the River Test, you may have heard of it from the interwebs and what not, but basically it is a Japanese IQ Test (apparently it's given to job applicants when they go for their interview), and you get given a bunch of rules with the aim of getting the entire family accross the river (which trust me is almost impossible) The app claims that only 10% of the planet can solve it. Let me tell you I spent a good hour-2hours working on and off on it that night, thus making me so frikken angry, the next day at work I made everyone try it, we had in the office 2 guys, 3 girls. The first guy got it after 12 minutes, the second guy got very frustrated and after mulling it over for a very extended period of time still failed to finish it. The 1st girl got it but after awhile of thinking about it, 2nd girl got 1 person over the river and decided there were too many rules, and the last girl was me, who was still incredibly frustrated at myself! On the way home that day I decided to just keep trying over and over and over and then eventually I WON! Best feeling ever! Esther and myself almost let out a scream on the train haha, you may think we were freaks but you need to understand the amount of frustration you get while playing this game.
If you want to have a go download the app: The River Test or if you just want to play online (not as cool) go here: http://www.robmathiowetz.com/

Make sure to pass on how you go with it :)

GQ Men of the Year 2010

So I wrote this ages ago, and forgot to post it, so here is the very very delayed recap of the awards!

Well last night was the GQ Men of the year awards, and I thought I'd just do my part in wrapping up this event, even if its purely an excuse to put pictures of genetically blessed men on my blog. The awards winners are as follows:
Man of Chivalry...Loyal Foundation Yacht Crew
Creative Force of the year...Blue Tongue Films
Television Actor of the year...Firass Dirani
Fashion Designer of the year...Vanishing Elephant
Chef of the year...Curtis Stone
Breakthrough of the year...Chris Hemsworth
Politician of the year...Wyatt Roy
Artist of the year...Sam Shmith
Comedian of the year...Josh Thomas
Music Act/Band of the year...Birds of Tokyo
Media Personality of the year...Wil Anderson
Actor of the year...Ben Mendelsohn
Man of Style...Xavier Samuel
Sportsman of the year...Mark Webber
Man of inspiration...Jack Manning Bancroft
Critic of the year...Matt Preston
Man of the year...Ryan Kwanten

Alright so digesting time, what would you think if you were awarded 'Man of the year' is this the ultimate award for any male? Does it mean most manly, or most successful man, or well done on going to the gym and being blessed from a good gene pool? I do have to say Josh Thomas, Chris Hemsworth and Ryan Kwanten are all worthy winners but I can't help but hate the fact that the Chef of the year went to Mr $10 Coles man or that the Critic of the year looks like it was an award made for Matt Preston and therefore only had 3 nominations, why don't they have a Judge of the year and then bring in all the reality shows contenders or better yet have a reality category, I mean tell me if I'm wrong but this is generally all people care about anymore! And what's the go with the Chivalry, Inspiration and Creative Force of the year? All 3 of them are amazing and all deserve recognition but to be given an award that is recognised as more of a beauty award leaves me confused. But anyway, I do love GQ and regardless of any of my issues with it they do point out some of the hottest men of the moment!

Mum's new crib.

Mum recently decided to have a change of lifestyle and move to Shellharbour.

If you haven't heard of Shellharbour it is roughly 1.5-2hrs south of Sydney, depending on traffic! It is a small town surrounded by beaches and has a real nice atmosphere about it! It is the next city south of Wollongong, but lets make this clear, according to Shellharbour inhabitants they are not the same place :)

There is this mad beach called The Farm and my mate Shellee was telling me that before her time there was no such suburb called Shell Cove and you would have to drive up a dirt road to get there, and that when you reached the farm you would pay the farmer something like 20cents upon entry to drive through his farm and park and then walk the epic hill down to the beach, its facing south so gets a different swell to other Eastern beaches. I think the best part is that in 2009 it was declared a National Surfing Reserve, meaning that it will be protected as a surfing beach.

Lets also not forget the little gem called Sam's Warehouse, my first day in Shellharbour and I was in there for about 1.5hours! It's my new favourite place, a toaster and a jug for $6 each, Solar lights 2 for $5, buckets and buckets for cheap DVD's.

Mum's place is literally a 50mtr walk to the beach (Warilla), and its a massive beach with nice waves and quiet enough to have an awesome day there! She is also in the same neighbourhood as NRL players Trent Barrett and Matt Cooper, definitely a good enough reason to go for a walk in the morning for the chance to see them walking their dogs or on their way to the beach!

Danny Junior turns 1!

I cannot believe that just over a year ago Danny Junior wasn't a part of our lives yet. If it wasn't for him our reflexes would still be sh*thouse, we would not have an extensive knowledge of Yo Gabba Gabba & Spongebob, our cameras wouldn't be so worn out, and most importantly we would never have had the infamous baby powder fight, thanks Chloe :) Having said all of that I wouldn't change a thing because our lives are richer for knowing him, and learn more about life than we'd ever imagine.

His birthday party fell the morning after Lauren's 21st birthday so needless to say there were a lot of dehydrated ladies sitting in the shade sculling water. I'd organised to do face painting on the kiddies, and with the help of the two Laurens we managed to butcher the face of 90% of the kids there, 10% were boys and opted for a tiger! Chloe and Danny had a jumping castle that was AMAZING, except us big kids weren't allowed on it, makes sense, we'd probably pass out in there. Chloe also organised a pinata in the shape of Dora the Explorer, and after pulling her head off us chikas all took a picture of our head replacing hers. The adult boys were fascinated for what seemed like hours over a motorbike (come on guys, they arent that interesting) but this left the ladies to sit in the shade oogling over all the babies! When everyone had left and it came time to to open the presents Chloe got overwhelmed with how many presents their were, DJ loved the wrapping paper, and we all discovered Pebbles' maternal instincts with the folding of all the clothes. We finished the night off with sparklers, and chilling in the shed.

A perfect day for a perfect boy.
