Andy Irons

Today surfing lost a legend, Andy Irons,
professional surfer, taken at the prime of his life at age 32.
-Irons won three world titles from 2002-2004

-During the early 2000's was Kelly Slaters major rival

-He withdrew from the full ASP World Tour season in 2009 for personal reasons.

-He was granted a wildcard back onto the Tour in 2010 and won an event in Tahiti in September.

-Irons is the only surfer to win at every location on the world tour.

Former world champion and close friend Mark Occhilupo told Fox Sports News he was shocked by the news.

"Words can't explain it ... I can't believe it," he said.

"I saw Andy in Tahiti (in September). I dropped him off at the airport and he was as happy as I've ever seen him.

"As a friend he was so good to be around. It is really, really heart-wrenching."Occhilupo also confirmed that Irons had contracted Dengue Fever before and that it normally returned when he was run down.

He is said to have passed away due to Dengue fever, after pulling out of a competition on Saturday he headed home to Hawaii and on his stopover in Dallas passed away. He is survived by his wife and reports have said that she was pregnant.

Rest In Peace Andy Irons.

Packed to the Rafters BOMBSHELL!!!!!!!!!

Okay so if you live under a rock or simply don't watch good television let me fill you in...

Last night was the eagerly anticipated 'Perfect Bubble' episode on Pack to the Rafters. The adds were saying this Tuesday a young rafter will die. Needless to say I went into panic mode, who is it, why? how? you get the idea. I was googling it all week and well it wasn't hard to figure out who it was going to be, a few months back when the episode was filmed pictures of a funeral scene were released, 3 notable rafters were missing: The Dad, The Grandad, and Mel. 'A Young Rafter' well out of all said 3 Mel is the only young one. Also to be noted is that in these pictures Hugh Sheridan who plays Ben and is Mel's husband in the show is wearing the suit he wore to the wedding. It wasn't too hard to figure out who was going to die, having said that the producers did an amazing job of making you double think yourself as to who is going to die, thoughts went through my head the entire episode, is Coby going to drink and drive? will Nathan be in a car crash while dropping Coby off? Is Ruby going to have some sort of fever or something and die?

What really pissed me off was that in the adds they said when you least expect it, not even 5 minutes into the episode Ben was saying 'If I had of known my perfect bubble was about to pop...' like come on, but aside from that the episode was pretty much perfect, although as horrible as it sounds I was holding out hope that it would be Ruby, only because she is just a baby and that wouldn't effect the family as much as Mel would. The acting was perfect and it just sucks a bit now because Ben is probably the most likable character in the show and now his world has been rocked, I mean they could've just I don't know, she could have got a job opportunity a long way away, what can I say i'm a killer for happy endings!

Mel was a great character and Zoe Ventura a great actor, you will be missed, and good luck in the US!

Memoirs of a moron...

Okay so previously I reported about my clumsiness and running into the open screen door and hurting my hand, well I have discovered that the most affected part of my body is my hands, they are always getting hurt one way or another, lets see whats happened all in the past 2 months!

The screen door incident, constantly pinching my fingers in between my work chair and the desk, last weekend I burnt my finger into a lovely big blister, and of course the knifing incident.

I never explained on here about the whole incident mainly due to lack of hand movement therefore lack of typing skills. Basically late September I stayed at the lovely Sarah's place, Saturday morning woke up and got ready for work, said farewell before heading out, I also asked her for some scissors to cut the cable ties off my new shoes so I could wear them to work! She said they were in the kitchen so off I headed, after not being able to find them I decided to use a knife, it was fairly blunt and I was being a little bit careful but after taking forevvs to cut I opted to use a butchers knife for the last one as I was running late for work, needless to say this cut much quicker than the other knife, it also managed to cut into my hand to create a blood fountain in Sarah's kitchen!

I yelled out to her and she bolted down the stairs, I was standing in the middle of the kitchen with my right hand trying to put pressure on the cut, it was still going everywhere, and we had a moment of just staring at each other saying what do we do? I don't know back and forth, I remember yelling out pressure, and so Sarah got a tea towel and we just shoved it on there, then she left me and ran upstairs, then she came back on the phone calling her brother who is an ambo and he instructed her to get a tea towel and make it damp then to get me to sit down, I pretty much just fell to the ground, broke out in a sweat and thought I was either going to faint or throw up. Sarah got me to sit there holding the tea towel on while she quickly cleaned the floorboards, and the white cupboard doors, and the bench, then she put her phone on speaker and got me to dial a cab while she got dressed.

We reached the hospital in record time and going into triage they told me everything that could happen, the part that scared me was when she started talking about nerve damage and possible need for plastic surgery, all I was thinking was its just a freaking cut what are you talking about? The other nurses about were really friendly and told us about when Masterchef is on they constantly get people in who think they can cook, then they would ask me what I was cooking and I had to reply that I wasn't!

After about an hour of waiting time I went in to see the doctor, he said I wasn't going to need stitches and then started prodding around my palm seeing how deep and if there was nerve damage, the pain from that is unexplainable and I said to the doctor that the room was getting really blurry (I think due to the fact that when he started to clean it I could see inside my hand), he asked if I felt sick and I didn't so he kept cleaning it up, next thing I know the doctor was waking me up, I had fallen back onto the bed and blacked out. That right there is the scariest thing that's ever happened in my life. He got me back to an upright position, finished bandaging up my hand and instructed me to go wait in the chair for a tetanus shot.

He went and got Sarah from the waiting room and later on she was telling me how scared she was when a doctor came out going 'Sarah?' and then just waving her in, I just sat there wishing I was in a bed.

Once the shot was finished and we were allowed to leave we headed to McDonalds for breakfast and then headed back to her place, I was fine at this stage and just drinking as much water as I could, and then headed home for a nap (which I never got due to the AFL grand final, the game was too close to not be screaming at the tv) Mum was down in Canberra so she wasn't there to nurse me, I ended up going to the pub to watch the footy and that numbed my pain plenty.

I need to thank Sarah for like remaining calm through everything as it was a real scary day and getting me to the hospital, calling my boss and my mum and making sure everything was fine! I don't even have words to express how amazing she was that day.

Since then it took just over a month to get my pinky finger to go straight by itself, it took about 3 weeks to make a fist and even then it was a weak one, it took about a month to be able to type with my pinky again and even to this day I can't put pressure onto my palm so I'm hoping that heals up soon!!!

Moral of the story kiddies, don't use knifes for anything, especially cutting cable ties off shoes.

Oh and let me just add, the first part of this blog took forever to type, why? Because I kept remembering the sensation and getting chills all over, almost like I could feel it again in my hand! Dammit!

And I feel quite sick now....awesome!

This is what the situation kind of looked like
...except replace the shoes with vans :)

Cradle Snatching vs Grave Robbing

Okay so recently I have found myself stuck in a bit of a rut...being that for some unknown reason I have been more attracted to the younger sort than the older. It all started last night when I was playing Who'd you rather with Lauren, naturally this evolved around the guys we see on regular basis and after she used the same person against 3 inferior guys I had no choice as to my answer, this led to a lot of laughing about his age but then it got me thinking...

At first I thought it was just the hot 16 year old from the X Factor but apparently not, on further thought I realised out of the last 3 hook-ups I've had 2 have been substantially younger. Now this is where I have a problem, I am 20 and for me to hook up with younger boys it's quite gross in that they are pretty much still a child, they may not look or act it but it's still known fact.

The idea bugs me, and looking back on all the dude's I've taken a liking to in the past it's usually the older types but this year completely switched. Kind of gross really when you think about it, but I still can't resist haha.

A funny coincidence is that my entire immediate family have taken a liking to the young sort as well, maybe it just runs in the family?

Then you have to take a second to think about Grave Robbing, personally I think it's gross but then I know plenty of people who would much rather that than go younger. I used to believe that if you were a girl you would naturally go for a guy who is a couple of years older because girls are supposed to grow up quicker than boys, well that point is clearly void for any person over the age of 18. Maybe its not that you like one way or the other, it's just that special someone and whatever age they are doesn't matter.

Even looking at the celebrity world, you are more aware of who is a cradle snatcher than who is a grave robber, you never hear about Ashton Kutcher being one to like the older ladies but you always hear about Demi Moore being the Cougar. Maybe nobody wants to admit that they are a grave robber, but then why would you admit to being a cradle snatcher when really its quite gross.

I decided to google this topic and what I found was sometimes quite disturbing but other times makes perfect sense. The top celebrities partaking in these kind of relationships are (according to msn entertainment):

- Robert Redford and long time partner Sibylle Szaggars (19 years) Married after living together for more than a decade.
-Mickey Rooney and his 8th wife Jan Chamberlin (19 years) Have been married for 31 years, I guess it's 8th time lucky?
-Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart (22 years) Engaged after 8 years being a couple.
-Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher (15 years) Married for 5 years although rumours of cheating on Ashton's part have plagued the marriage.
-Bruce Willis and Emma Heming (23 years) Married 1 year and quite gross but Heming and Kutcher were born less than 6 months apart.
-Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones (25 years) Happily married for 10 years with 2 children.
-Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster (27 years) Married 3rd wife after dating for several years.
-Celine Dion and Rene Angelil (27 years) Married for 16 years although he did launch her career when she was 12 years old.
-Clint Eastwood and Dina Ruiz (35 years) Married his first wife 11 years before his second wife was born!!! Although they have been married for 14 years.
-Anna Nicole Smith and billionaire J. Howard Marshall II (63 years) Does this really need an explanation?

Okay so lets take a look at this, the majority of the relationships above are all second wives or what not, the main thing I can see is that it is the male who is the cradle snatcher, with only 2 'cougars' above and most seem to be happily married, of course we are just counting down the days until Ashton divorces Demi and Rod finds the next eligible leggy blonde and of course what sort of person would not go out with Indiana Jones no matter the age. What I don't get is that the majority above are the guys, and this is deemed normal so why do we focus on these age gaps when it has clearly stood the test of time as the norm.

After all this research I still don't have an answer to my problem, I have decided to put a limit of 4 years on it, which is perfectly normal and means 16 year olds count (let's never repeat that sentence haha) but it means next year when I turn 21 it will be 17, but who knows by then I could be dating a 30 year old! (Gross!!!) Maybe I'll just leave it to perving and nothing more until they are 18?

Feel free to post your thoughts below, however if it's any derogatory comments in regards to 16 year old X Factor contestants watch out! :D

Creaming Soda changed my life...

I didn't know what I felt like to drink today, and I reluctantly decided on Creaming Soda, I haven't had this in the longest time and now I may be slightly addicted all over again.
My only problem is the name, like come on we are in Australia! Ditch the soda already :)

PS: I also found this picture while trying to find a creaming soda pic, um wow, need to make this!!!!

The eyes are the nipples of the face...

Let me explain, while watching The House Bunny the other day she quotes 'the eyes are the nipples of the face' and yes while this is hilarious it is a subject worth questioning or at least wondering how important the eyes are in terms of a 'whole package'. So I have devised a little game where I have found some of the nicest eyes in Hollywood and I am very interested to see who can guess who the celebrities are, I am 100% sure I have forgotten some important ones so feel free to comment with your guesses or your suggestions and I'll update in a few days with the answers.
The only hints I'll give are that there are 6 male actors, 2 female actors and 1 male skater!
